“We had a great experience from this pool company. Previously we lost our deposit with Olympus. This time we wanted to make sure we got the best company of the area regardless the price. We wanted a reliable, professional, and organized company with the best quality products. The process was very smooth from the designing center ( with Adam Washburn), the project managers ( Brooks and Reid) to the pool start up ( Justin and Mike). The the pool project took almost 3 months from the digging to the start up ( completed on July 2022). All the project from signing the contract to the end was 7 months. Our HOA permit was one of the biggest delays, not the pool company. The owner Eric Larsen even called me to make sure everything was going smoothly. “Larsen completed our pool in late October, and we're incredibly pleased with it! When we made the decision to move to Tampa in early 2019, we also made the decision to build a new home. Instead of writing a review immediately after the pool was complete, I decided to wait a while, as the long term care is just as important as the front end. The entire Team is extremely professional and true experts. The 3D design that Jeff prepared was almost exactly what the final product looked like. We had a few issues at start-up and few control boards that went bad but everything was repaired promptly and correctly. “Just worked with Larsen's to build a new pool, lanai and screen enclosure. I can highly recommend Larsen's! Since purchasing the home, I've wanted to build a pool but was nervous of the overall process and many news stories of pool companies leaving their customers hanging. “Larsen's remodeled our pool in June 2023 and I intentionally waited a year to write this review so I could see how the support was after the work was complete. Larsen's has been top notch the entire time! Dan was our sales rep and he was incredibly thorough during the estimate. He truly wanted to understand how we would be using the pool, which resulted in great ideas and considerations we had not previously considered. He provided multiple detailed 3D renderings (we changed things multiple times) which really gave us an idea of what the final result would look like. Once we agreed to move forward, John was assigned as our project manager. He was onsite during every phase of the work to ensure it all went according to plan. Communication was awesome, he returned calls quickly and was always more than willing to answer questions and address our concerns. The front desk staff have also been great. After the project was complete, there were a few small things that needed to be fixed (tile grout was missing in a few spots and a few small rust stains appeared) and they were always very responsive, quickly notified the right people to get them out to fix the issues and followed up to ensure everything was taken care of. I can't recommend Larsen's enough! The entire process was seamless and they absolutely delivered on everything they promised. 10 out of 10, would absolutely hire them again in an instant!”

“I would give an A+ if I could. We went to Larsen's Pool and Spa not knowing that we should have made an appointment ahead of time. The owner, Eric, was in the middle of a weekly staff meeting with part of his team. He kept on top of things making sure the project moved along, answering all of our questions and concerns along the way. As few projects of this size go absolutely flawlessly, I will say that there were a few issues as things proceeded. Eric and his team made sure that at the end of the project we were 100% happy with everything. The few times that we needed to contact him he answered his phone and took care of the issue as soon as he could. We did not have to "settle" for anything. The project lasted six months and was finished in December 2019 receiving our "pool school" lesson from Justin. I can't say enough about Justin either as anytime I've texted or called him with a question he has always responded quickly. Almost nine months later everything is working flawlessly. “We were moving from Atlanta and did not have a Real Estate Agent in Florida and were really on our own. The home builder recommended pool companies. The first proposal was much less than Larsen’s, but we chose Larsen because quality is very important to us. Our initial meeting with the Larsen team, Eric stopped by and shared helpful information and made us feel appreciated. Before construction started, Eric called to thank us and offered more useful information about the area. He also recommended the outdoor kitchen company which we subsequently used. Before construction, Reid came to our home to educate us about the construction process and what to expect of the Larsen team. Reid has a warm and sensitive personality that puts your mind at ease, immediately upon meeting him. He recommended important enhancements such as a panoramic screen, a bench the entire length of the pool and Omni Logic to electronically operate the pool, among other things. The construction took exactly four months as promised and we were introduced to Michael and Justin….these guys were equally nice and helpful. We had an issue with our auto fill, that was eventually resolved without much fanfare. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that Reid took time to clean the area after the auto fill was installed and he bought bags of small rocks to create a safe and mud free path for us. That was special!! Overall, we had a very good experience with the Larsen crew. The ladies in operations worked well with us too! “Why I Would Recommend Larsen’s Pool and Spa Research And Selection We interviewed and received bids from 6 different pool companies before selecting Larsen’s Pool and Spa. They were not the cheapest bid but their warranty, professionalism and reputation on social media stood out. My goal through this process was to select a quality company that would deliver a quality product without being surprised or feeling nickel and dimed throughout the process. I believe they delivered. People The individuals we worked with the most were Adam, Drew, Washington and Justin, all quality individuals and very professional. Adam was instrumental in the design and materials selection process. Drew was always very responsive to any questions or concerns regarding installation. Washington is a gifted craftsman with attention to detail. I would feel confident having Washington involved in any project of mine. Justin makes himself available whenever needed or if you have an operational question or issue. There were other contacts within Larsen’s, such as John and owner Eric Larsen, who made themselves available when needed to discuss any concerns. It was comforting to have the owner engaged. Customer Experience While there were issues and concerns that arose during the installation, Larsen’s representative never hesitated to take ownership and resolve in a timely manner. I was never presented with an additional invoice during these resolutions. Conclusion It has been 1 yrs since the installation. “We recently had a pool installed by Larsen’s Pool & Spa, and the process could not have gone any smoother. I was impressed with our first contact when the owner, Eric Larsen, called to discuss our wants and took the time to ensure we understood and felt comfortable with their expectations for themselves when taking on a project. In a time when other pool companies seem to lack regard for communication and doing what they say they are going to do, we immediately felt at ease that this would not be the case with Larsen’s. Our assigned designer, Dan, answered all our questions about pool construction, listened to what our vision was, made excellent suggestions on design based on the size of our yard, and came up with a beautiful plan! Once all the permits were secured, we were handed off to our project manager, Reid. Reid met with us before the dig started to walk us through the process, answered questions, and made sure we knew we could contact him at any time. Every subcontractor Larsen’s hired was professional, kept the construction site cleaned up as much as possible, and did excellent work. I was especially impressed with the tile guy! Once the pool had water in it, Mike and Justin from Larsen’s hooked up the equipment, made sure it was running well, and came out twice a week for a month to check chemicals, make sure all was running well, and make sure we understood how all the equipment worked. From dig to water was three months, as promised from the beginning of the project! Larsen’s has excellent and knowledgeable employees, long time relationships with their subcontractors and stands by their equipment choices. “Simply put, if you want a high-quality pool, installed in a reasonable time you will not regret going with Larsen’s Pool and Spa. We started looking for a pool builder in mid-2021. My wife returned to Tampa on a business trip and her row mate was from Brandon Fl and raved about her experience with Larsen’s. We talked with four pool companies and were most impressed with Larsen’s proposals. They were candid about issues with shutdowns and supply chain problems but were estimating about half the construction time of the other companies. The design process went smoothly, and the designer (Jeff) made several good suggestions. We loved the final look of the pool and lanai. Good relations with the county building department seems to have eased the building permits and the dig began in mid-December just two months after signing the contract. Though Larsen’s estimate was 120 days for completion, we were filling the finished pool just 90 days after the dig. Admittedly our pool did not have water features or a spa so it wasn’t complicated but that is a remarkable accomplishment considering most companies were estimating a year to complete. The construction went smoothly, and we saw Reid, the construction lead, at least every other week and he was very willing to answer our questions about the construction process and overall progress. We were also impressed with the subcontractors Larsen’s uses. They did excellent work, quickly corrected problems, and cleaned up after each phase of the job. That contrasts with other pools in the neighborhood which have prolonged periods with construction residue sitting in yards. Finally, Justin and Mike got the equipment running, the pool chemistry balanced and helped us learn how to manage the systems. Both were extremely helpful in getting pool novices up to speed.”

“I have had terrible luck with most construction projects we’ve done since moving in. The bar was set so very low by other experiences. Early on Larsen’s gave me a confident feeling that I was in good hands. We loved meeting with Dan and dreaming of our options. I felt like we were with him for hours and he didn’t rush us once. My first feel good moment was when I panicked from an email I had received and called in to talk to Elicia my assigned project financial counselor. She was-and remained to be-helpful, kind, available, and an all around pleasure to have work on my behalf. She instantly put me at ease. Insert John…. I can’t praise this man enough! He went so far above and beyond I don’t even know where to start. One highlight that comes to mind is when he came and aided us in digging a drainage solution that we were too cheap to buy. He told me exactly what to order and how to do it. Then when I failed he drove over and helped!!!! Who does that?!?!? Who have you ever worked with in any company ever that helped you with a side project?!? Any time I had any questions or requests (can we have grey jet turns) he immediately handled everything and ALWAYS exceeded my expectations! Jeremy was here on the back end after the resurfacing was done. He was equally as phenomenal as the rest of the squad. I actually called him almost an entire month after my pool was done. He not only answered but FaceTimed with me to teach me how to use my own equipment, that he had already shown me how to use previously🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t get to work directly with Eric but I did meet him and he was very nice. Every single person that was sent subcontracted or otherwise was incredibly professional and again I’ll say exceeded my expectations. “In 2020, we began our research to find a pool company. We read lots of online reviews and made many phone calls to various pool companies in the Tampa Bay area. Many were swamped with the unprecedented increase of pool sales during COVID. With this in mind, many companies told us to call back in 4-6 months because they were at max capacity with current projects. Others told us that we could be “squeezed” in. When you are investing a large sum of money to have a pool built… let’s be honest you don’t want to be squeezed in or feel like you are just a number. Larsen’s Pool really stood out to us in regards to reviews through multiple websites. Our first call we were placed in contact with Eric (owner) to discuss our pool ideas, budget, etc. This was really helpful, not only were we having an honest conversation about timelines, overall process, construction, financing, and budget but I could tell that Eric really cared about his clients. The next step was a phone consultation with our designer, Jeff. After talking with us for 15 minutes, Jeff texted us a picture of a rough sketch of our pool design and he nailed it. The pool layout was not only functional, but he thought of little details that would make our pool design unique and something that we would enjoy. During construction, our project manager was Brooks. He was great with communication and ensuring that not only were we happy but that the quality of work being done was good. Within 3-4 months our pool was finished and the final punch list items were completed in a timely manner. The level of communication was impressive not only from the Larsen’s but also their subcontractors. Throughout the process any question or concern was always addressed and answered quickly. Even after the final payment was made! The passion and level of care that Larsen’s provides is evident and really makes them stand apart from the competition. “My wife and I met with Dan from the Larsen’s team in Spring of 2024 in an effort to start our planning process for a backyard redo with pool and cage for our Tampa home. We had friends who had used them and were one of the few companies that we didn’t hear any disaster stories with. After a few months of figuring out what we wanted and meeting with a few other companies, we had always felt the best with Dan. He followed up in timely manners and was not overly pushy which usually tells me he’s confident in the product they offer, instead of desperate for the sale. Prior to our first meeting I got a call from owner Eric Larsen and that also really helped us feel good about the company. Fast forward to around September we signed a contract and picked out our finishes and finalized our design. The planning process and communication for changes and such with Dan was as smooth as it can get. He was absolutely fantastic in helping us figuring out different parts of the design. In early October we had some unexpected delays due to the hurricane. After reaching out to Dan they let us know that we had the option to delay, or cancel, with no real penalties. Luckily for us we had still wanted to move forward with the pool project but just had to wait. So we agreed to push start date to Jan. I cannot imagine what could have happened if they were not willing to work with us on this, safe to say this alone would have us pick them again and again because I know every contractor isn’t so helpful in these situations. Once the actual build process started we worked with Reid. They moved quickly from dig to swim in about 8 weeks or so. We had a couple small miscommunications between the design, some minor changes, and Reid/contractors. All of those miscommunications were quickly remedied. The pool came out amazing. Justin and Mike from the startup and maintence team were great and super helpful in learning everything. We would not hesitate even one bit to recommend Larsen’s and would use them again in a heartbeat. We love our new pool!”

“Deciding on Larsen’s Pool and Spa to build our backyard oasis was the best decision we made! Our designer, Emily, really listened to not only the vision we had for a pool but also for our whole backyard. Her design truly captured our entire vision. Their transparency with their pricing was also impressive. Other pool companies didn’t provide a line-item price of each product used in building the pool. The honest pricing was refreshing to see. It was also amazing to go to the design studio and see all the options that were available within the price quoted. With other companies they would’ve been an upgrade. Reid was our Construction Manager. He was great to work with. Always available for questions, consistent communication, and always on site. The office personnel (Molly, Elicia and Cathy) were always polite, accommodating, upbeat and available for any questions I had. Justin and Mike serviced the pool once it was up and running. “We hired Larsen's Pool & Spa back in Oct 2017 after receiving several quotes from 3 other companies in the area. Larsen's started construction Jan 2018 and was completed with the pool March 2018. After carefully researching all the companies we received quotes from we decided to go with Larsen's for several reasons. For one, Larsen's has some of the best customer reviews on Angie's list (and other sites). In addition to positive reviews, we were won over by assurance of a quality product and a guarantee to standby that product for years to come. Larsen's was not the cheapest company we received quotes from which the owner, Eric, admitted this up front, but sometimes you have to take into account what you are getting for the higher quote. Larsen's customer service has been outstanding starting with Dan Meyer in Sales. Dan managed to put together a beautiful design that satisfied my wife and I; not an easy task. Everything from the automation to the water features were addressed just as we requested. He was in constant communication with us throughout the process. Once construction started our project manager, Jason, kept me in the loop every step of the way, to include nights and weekends! No nightmares here about not being able to reach your project manager; All our concerns were addressed right away each time we brought up an issue. I can assure you this was not what I heard from two of my neighbors who went with another company (that I won't name). The final project turned out to be more satisfying than what I had imagined; it's spectacular so thanks for that Jason! Justin & John, my start-up team, keeps that line of communication and great customer service going by ensuring that we know how to properly work every feature of the pool and its equipment. “Larsen's Pool & Spa completed our pool for us in Sep 2023 and it greatly exceeded our expectations! Since this was our first pool build experience we wanted to wait 6 months after the build to make sure we still have the same enthusiasm that we had when it was completed and they did not disappoint. We started our process by doing a bunch of research and talking to our friends that are pool owners to learn from their experiences. After careful consideration we selected 3 pool builders in the local area with a heavy emphasis on: quality, price, warranty, and good communication throughout the build. We've heard alot of horror stories about pool builders and most of them involved very poor communication, so that was very important to us. Larsen's was the first company we submitted an inquiry with and I was very impressed when the owner, Eric, called us that same evening to learn more about what we wanted, provide an overview of what they offer, and answer any additional questions before handing us off to their designer for our area, Julie. Julie met us at the house a few days later for a site visit and initial consultation and we had a beautiful 3D rendering in hand just a few short days later. Julie really nailed the design and followed up with a quote. Although the price was a little higher than we originally planned for, it was very fair given all of the upgrades and equipment that we opted for. We went on to get a few more quotes and designs from a few more builders, and although both were a bit cheaper, the communication was starkly different and the quality of their product just didn't measure up so we decided to go with Larsen's. We met, Reid, our PM, a few days later. He went over the process with us again, answered some more questions and started the permit process. Within a few weeks we got the word that our permits were cleared and they broke ground on 5 July. For the sake of time, I won't cover all of the details of the entire timeline here, but I can tell you that it took exactly 60 days from the day they broke ground to the day we were filling up the pool and swimming and that was right on par with the estimated timeframe that we were given. Having an ongoing major construction project at your home can be a stressful situation, but Reid and his team did a great job of keeping us informed, moving things along on schedule and resolving any issues that occurred very quickly. Even after the build was completed and we submitted final payment we discovered a leak and notified the team at Larsen's and they sent a team out to resolve the issue the same day! All in all, we couldn't be any happier with the beautiful pool that Larsen's built for us and can honestly say that the final product greatly exceeded our expectations and we've been enjoying it so much since it was completed.
